The Department of Physics provides quality education to students with a sound understanding of the fundamentals and application of Physics for the advancement of Science and technology. The course structure of each program is designed to impart both theoretical and practical knowledge of the subject to train students for basic research and to face challenges from the industry. Academic courses are accompanied by several experimental courses offered every semester for hands-on training.
The students of both UG & PG programs get an opportunity to perform experiments in the laboratory of the department for their project/dissertation with the support of a supportive team which includes teaching staff, non-teaching staff, and fellow mates. P.G. Courses also offers specialization in five subjects namely Statistical Physics, Bio Physics, Medical Physics, Atmospheric Physics, Nano materials, and Applications.
The department aims to excel and achieve prominence in Physics teaching and research. The department also organizes various skill-oriented workshops, guest lectures, and educational trips at recognized science research centers so that our graduates are highly accepted in their workplace. By providing the necessary knowledge, experience, and ethical values to the students we lead them to become responsible citizens of the nation.
